Arun Kumar Sharma is a Senior Advisor Financial Services at USISPF. He is President of Grovepike Associates, a financial and development advisory firm based in Washington, D.C. Grovepike Associates provides strategic and financial advice to several global financial services firms and impact investors. Prior to establishing Grovepike Associates, He was Chief Investment Officer at the IFC, where He focused on investment and advisory projects in the Financial Services sector. During his 28-year career at IFC, He was involved in a range of pioneering initiatives across the globe including privatization of state owned enterprises in Eastern Europe, development of infrastructure and climate finance in Asia and Latin America, and pioneering securitization in emerging markets.
Prior to joining IFC, He was with the Reserve Bank of India, where He focused on foreign investment in India’s financial markets and liberalization of Foreign Exchange, Capital and Gold controls.
He also serves as a Non Resident Senior Fellow at the Institute of International Finance (IIF) and a Senior Associate at the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) in Washington, D.C.
