Brian Anderson is the Senior Director, Financial Services at USISPF. In this capacity, he works with member companies seeking to enhance India’s capital markets, banking, and insurance sectors, as well as to promote efforts aimed at amplifying financial inclusion in the Indian financial services marketplace. Brian has spent over a decade in Washington, D.C. working both on and off Capitol Hill. From 2015-2018, Brian was Counsel for the House Committee on Financial Services, staffing the Financial Institutions and Consumer Credit Subcommittee. There, he focused principally on advancing policies intended to increase economic choice and access to consumer credit, reduce regulatory burden for consumers and financial institutions alike, and ensure that the U.S. financial system remains a resilient and reliable engine for economic growth. Originally from North Carolina, Brian is a member of the New York State Bar. He earned a Juris Doctor degree from American University, Washington College of Law, and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from North Carolina State University. In his spare time, he is an ardent recreational squash player, and can usually be found trekking across Capitol Hill with his Irish Wolfhound, Maddie.
