Sanjay Bhatnagar serves as President & CEO of WaterHealth International. He joined WHI in 2009, bringing extensive experience in emerging markets of infrastructure development and management in a global context. He founded the THOT Capital Group in 2001, a private equity firm based in New York that invested in energy assets. Previously, He served as a CEO of Enron Broadband Services for the Middle East and Asia, based in Singapore, and prior to that He was the Chairman and CEO of Enron South Asia, developing large scale power, gas and telecom infrastructure. He started his career with Schlumberger, where He served as an engineer and manager in several Asian and European countries.
He received an MBA with Honors from the Harvard Business School, a Master’s degree in Engineering from Stanford University, and a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering with distinction from the Indian Institute of Technology, New Delhi, India.
He has and continues to hold leadership roles with organizations such as: the Global Agenda Council on Water, World Economic Forum; Advisory Board on Water, University of Alberta, Canada; Senior Fellow, University of Southern California; Director Emeritus, the US-India Strategic Partnership Forum, Director, Punj Lloyd Construction Company, India; Director, Emco, India; Former Director, AIESEC International; Former President, American Chamber of Commerce in India (1999-2001); Member, YPO/WPO; Chairman, Infrastructure Committee, Confederation of Indian Industry (2000).
