Vishal Wanchoo is a Senior Advisor at the US-India Strategic Partnership Forum. Until recently, Vishal was the President and CEO of GE, South Asia, responsible for the overall growth and strategy of the organization in the region as well as its transformation into a digital industrial company. Vishal’s successful career at GE has spanned 23 years across geographies, with senior leadership positions across businesses and regions.  He started his career with GE in the US and moved to India in 2011 and spent 9 years in India in multiple roles, spanning all Regions outside the US, with a strong focus on the South Asia market. Prior to joining GE, Vishal spent 15 years with Bayer/Agfa in the Healthcare vertical in Global roles.

Vishal returned to the US this year and retired from GE on June 1st.  He is currently spending part of his time as a Strategic Advisor for GE with a focus on the South Asia market.  Vishal received his undergraduate degree from the Indian Institute of Technology in Electrical Engineering and a Master’s from the University of Southern California in Computer Engineering.
