During the first half of August, foreign investors sold shares in financial services companies worth ₹14,790 crore, marking the highest selling by FPIs across sectors for this period. According to data from the National Securities Depository Ltd (NSDL), FPIs offloaded shares totaling ₹28,642 crore across 15 sectors from August 1 to 15.
Analysts noted that the BFSI sector, where FPIs hold significant exposure, was primarily impacted as investors decided to reduce their India exposure.
