Gensol Engineering Ltd, a provider of solar power EPC services and electric mobility solutions, has won a 250 MW/500 MWh standalone battery energy storage systems (BESS) project from Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Ltd (GUVNL), valued at INR 1,340 crore ($160.5 million). Gensol won the latest tender by quoting INR 3.72 lacs ($4,452) per MW per month, which is 17% lower than the price discovered in the previous auction.
