SEBI has updated the guidelines for uploading KYC information by KYC Registration Agencies (KRAs) to the Central KYC Records Registry (CKYCRR). Intermediaries will continue to manage KYC data on KRA systems per SEBI KRA Regulations, 2011. KRAs must upload verified KYC data to CKYCRR within 7 days of receipt from intermediaries, starting August 1, 2024, and ensure all existing KYC records are uploaded within six months from this date. These changes, as stated aim to streamline KYC processes and enhance the ease of doing business in the securities market.
