Astik Sinha is Senior Director for Digital Economy handling the technology vertical at USISPF.
He is a seasoned specialist with 15 years of experience in public policy, governance and strategic communication spread across government, think tanks and media.
From 2019-24 he served with the Minister in the Ministries of Finance & Corporate Affairs, Information & Broadcasting, Youth Affairs & Sports. He worked closely on various ‘AatmaNirbhar’ reforms, the G20-Y20 India presidency, digitalisation of government initiatives apart from designing and implementing capacity building programs within government. He significantly contributed to improving public service delivery using technology by crafting national-level innovation frameworks and expanding private sector partnerships. Prior to this he served with the Chairperson of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Information Technology bringing to focus issues ranging from ‘net neutrality’ to data privacy etc. He also had a stint with the Indian Cricket Board (Board of Control for Cricket in India) advising the Boards leadership on enhancing their digital assets prior to the auction of digital media rights.
He holds a Masters Degree and further pursued executive / certificate courses at Oxford University – BHC ‘Leadership in Public Policy’ Program and ‘Future of Leadership Development’ Executive Program at Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy amongst other fellowships. He enjoys traveling, photography and scuba diving.
