Shatakratu Sahu has joined USISPF as Associate Director for Technology, Media, Telecommunications. Previously, he was with the think tank Carnegie India for nearly three years, where his research primarily focused on artificial intelligence (AI)-related issues on regulation, infrastructure, global AI summits, national strategies of India and the United States, and the broader geopolitical interplay of the transformative technology. At Carnegie India, Shatakratu was also part of the core convening team for organizing four editions of their flagship event, the Global Technology Summit co-hosted with the Indian External Affairs Ministry, in Delhi and Bangalore.

Prior to working at Carnegie India, he was an associate at the law firm J. Sagar Associates, where he practiced general commercial and regulatory litigation and commercial arbitration before the Indian Supreme Court, Delhi High Court, and relevant tribunals. Additionally, he was a legal and policy advisor at EdTech startup KidsChaupal Infotech. Qualified as a lawyer to practice in India, Shatakratu holds a B.A. LL.B. (Hons.) degree from The West Bengal National University of Juridical Sciences (NUJS), Kolkata.

Through his career, he has published writings on AI, platform regulation, EdTech, digital public infrastructure (DPI), quantum computing, electric mobility, cryptocurrencies, and international tech partnerships.
