USISPF convened a roundtable with India’s Ministry of Mines led by Additional Secretary Sanjay Lohia, to discuss potential collaboration on critical minerals.
With India’s National Critical Minerals Mission in progress and 100% foreign direct investment (FDI) now permitted in the sector, the U.S. delegation expressed strong interest in exploring trade missions focused on mining, processing, and recycling.
Participants emphasized the importance of establishing a structured bilateral trade agreement to solidify and enhance cooperation in this strategically vital area.
