Immunization is considered as the most cost-effective public health intervention after clean water saving millions of lives every year while being the foundation of the primary health care system. Every dollar spent on childhood vaccination saves USD 3 as direct costs and USD 10 from a societal perspective, i.e., direct, and indirect costs. COVID-19 vaccination has substantially altered the course of the pandemic and is considered as the “most effective weapon” against COVID 19, a disease which has more than 624 million lab confirmed cases globally and 6.5 million deaths as of 5th October 2022.
