USISPF Appoints Pascal Saint-Amans and Shefali Goradia as Advisors to the US-India Tax Forum

The US-India Tax Forum, an initiative of the US-India Strategic Partnership Forum (USISPF) is pleased to announce the appointment of Pascal Saint-Amans, the Former Director, at the Centre for Tax Policy and Administration (CTPA) at the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) and Shefali, Goradia, Chairperson of the Cooperation and coordinating Board of Deloitte South Asia as Advisors to the US-India Tax Forum.

Pascal since joining the OECD in 2007, held a variety of roles. He has served as the Head of the International Co-operation and Tax Competition Division in the CTPA. He played a key role in the advancement of the OECD tax transparency agenda in the context of the G20, which India held the presidency for in 2023. Pascal is currently a global partner at Brunswick Group, based in Paris.

In October 2009, Pascal was appointed as the Head of the Global Forum Division, created to service the Global Forum on Transparency and Exchange of Information for Tax Purposes, a program with the participation of over 100 countries.  A French national, he was also an official in the French Ministry for Finance for nearly a decade. He held various positions within the Treasury, including the supervision of the EU work on direct taxes and overseeing legislation and policy on wealth tax and mergers and spin-offs. 

Shefali brings over three decades of experience in advising clients on international tax. Mumbai-based, Shefali is a member of the Permanent Scientific Committee of the International Fiscal Association. Shefali is sought after for her legal tax acumen and was included in Euromoney’s 2022 Guide to the World’s Leading Tax Advisers. She was featured in the Guide to the World’s Leading Banking, Finance, and Transactional Lawyers 2012 as one of the outstanding practitioners in the field of investment funds and listed in a series of publications highlighting legal thought leaders.
