Colonel Baljinder Singh (Retd.) joined USISPF as Director for Aerospace & Defense. He has served for 29 years as a soldier-engineer in the Indian Army in various terrains. A maroon beret and an armoured vehicle specialist, He commanded his battalion in Strike Corps. In his last appointment with the DRDO He has worked extensively on many Make-in India projects. His experience gives him deep insights into the capability acquisition and development procedures of the Ministry of Defence and the Government in India.While serving in the Army He took an active part in operations like “Operation Vijay” and “Operation Parakram”. He also participated in joint exercise ‘Yudh Abhyas’ with the US forces. He  has been awarded GOC-in-C commendation cards on two separate occasions (2009 & 2015) for his professionalism, one among many other achievements He has had. He  is an avid adventurer and a golfer.
